MMM RIPA – Castle of Brunico-Bruneck (2,5 km) – The Messner Mountain Museum is a place of encounter with the mountains, its peoples and finally also with ourselves.

Mansio Sebatum Museum in San Lorenzo-St. Lorenzen (6 km) – South Tyrol’s only museum which, with its 2000-year-old finds, is fully dedicated to the Iron Age and especially the Roman Age. The excavations can be visited along the archaeological panorama path around the Castel Badia-Sonnenburg hill.

Museum of Ethnology in Teodone-Dietenheim (3 km) – The museum of ethnology in Teodone-Dietenheim near Brunico-Bruneck is situated in the heart of the Val Pusteria-Pustertal valley. It displays the everyday life of the rural population of former times – from the landed gentry to the self-sustaining farmers and the day labourers.

Plan de Corones-Kronplatz (valley station in Riscone-Reischach: 6 km) – In the wintertime a ski resort, elected best ski resort of Europe in 2018 for that matter, in the summertime a destination for hikers and bikers – that is what the Plan de Corones-Kronplatz is well-known for.  On its summit you can find the MMM Corones museum, as well as the photography museum Lumen.

The Loden World in Vandoies-Vintl (20km) – From the raw wool to the coat – the loden cloth museum with its boutique in Vandoies-Vintl informs about the production process of the high quality loden cloth.

Earth Pyramids in Vila di Sopra-Oberwielenbach near Perca-Percha (15 km) – Perca-Percha’s earth pyramids are an architectural masterpiece of nature that is well worth visiting.

The Reinbach Waterfalls (13km) – By racing down rock faces in three cascades, the Reinbach stream makes the force of water palpable for all the visitors’ senses. The contemplation path of Saint Francis lines the easy hiking trail of the Reinbach waterfalls.

The Castle of Tures-Taufers (14km) – Over twenty furnished rooms, among which a court room, a library, a chapel, a knights’ hall, a patient’s room, a late gothic office, a ‘ghosts room’, an armoury, a cardinal room and – what is particularly impressive – the dungeon and the “torture room”. The former dynastic seat Tures-Taufers attracts around 70.000 visitors every year.

The Predoi-Prettau Mine (45km) – The mine of Predoi-Prettau reached its heyday 600 years ago, when the extraordinary malleability of the Predoi-Prettau copper was in great demand. Today a mine train leads to the heart of the mine. The air in the mine’s climate gallery is so pure that many people have recovered from their breathing troubles there.
